Established in 2006, we have already had over 4500 children around Gloucestershire and Worcestershire attending weekly sessions, Playgroup sessions and birthday parties.

CLOSE AGE BANDINGS IN ALL OUR SESSIONS TO ENSURE SUITABILITY OF PROGAMME

FOR ALL MEMBERS: (not combined/wider age groups)

OUR LEAD COACHES HAVE MANY YEARS EXPERIENCE OF COACHING THIS AGE GROUP, PLUS OTHER EARLY YEARS EXPERIENCE: (we actually understand the wider needs of

working with children of this age and therefore, constantly adopt good early years practice).

WE SPECIALISE IN TODDLER/PRE-SCHOOL FOOTBALL: (not as an add-on to other ages)

STRUCTURED, PROGRESSIVE PROGRAMME: (ensures quick settling for new members,

plus ongoing development of football skills, culminating in the introduction of our oldest

members to simple, age-appropriate, small-sided football games when they are ready for it)

VERY HIGH MEMBERSHIP RETENTION RATE: the vast majority (90%+) of new members stay

with us all the way through the programme - this must suggest something about our quality!

There are three main reasons you can join SupaStrikers with 100% confidence:

PATA supporting childcare logo No. 1 Genuine expertise in working with this age group. We are members of PATA, a national organisation who support those working with younger children to ensure high standards. Our approach will complement that of good playgroups and nurseries etc. We only employ coaches who genuinely WANT to work with this age group. In addition to football courses, all of our coaches complete specialist training courses to develop their expertise in working with these age groups. Where possible, we usually work with a maximum ratio of 1 Coach:6 Children* and most of our groups are maximum of 12 children (Saturday sessions run at larger venues with higher numbers, although the coaching ratio is maintained).

* When there are 8 or fewer children at a new venue, we may run with only one

coach until membership numbers increase

No. 2 Attached to ongoing Football programmes. Each SupaStrikers Licensed Coach or Franchise-owner either operates or is in association with a high-quality football coaching programme aimed at school-aged children. This means that as our SupaStrikers members become too old for us, there is always a 'natural progression' route for them to continue enjoying their football development. For many Members in Gloucestershire, the link is still to

our partner organisation, Andy Tucker Soccer Camps.

members who have gone on to join elite coaching squads at professional clubs including Cheltenham Town, Bristol City and even Sheffield United. Many others are still actively involved in local football as a result of a passion first kindled at SupaStrikers. The Football Association themselves have liaised with SupaStrikers as part of their aim to develop good practice guidelines which will enable football for under 5's to become more widespread at 'grass roots' level and which in time, will raise the standards of technical skill in England as children learn good habits from a younger age.
