MiniStrikers (& MiniStrikers 2+)
Mainly for children born between 1st September 2014 – 31st August 2015
NB Younger children born AFTER 1st September 2015 (and aged at least 2 years) can join our MiniStrikers 2+ sessions. MiniStrikers 2+ sessions are NOT separate sessions, but are simply MiniStrikers sessions which younger children can also join.
When using our 'Find A Class' function, only select the 2+ option if your child is born AFTER 1st September 2015). If you mistakenly select both MiniStrikers options, the function will only show venues which also offer the 2+ option, but will not show venues which offer just our regular MiniStrikers age range.
During their time in MiniStrikers we aim for children to achieve the following:
For children to be ready for MiniStrikers, they should be confident on their feet and able to run, as well as being able to respond to age-appropriate directions. Parents/carers will initially work with their child in order to help them gain confidence and develop these core skills as quickly as possible.
For children in their pre-school year (i.e. born between 1st September 2013 – 31st August 2014)
During their time in MegaStrikers we aim for children to achieve the following:
Children are expected to undertake the session without too much parent involvement, however we understand each individual child may require slightly different needs.
Depending upon the overall confidence and ability of the group, they may progress as far as playing very simple, short small-sided ‘matches’ as part of the weekly programme during the final term.
NB. Please note that pre-school year children who are particularly lacking in confidence may be able to start in MiniStrikers until they are ready to progress to MegaStrikers.
For children in reception year of school (i.e. born between 1st September 2012 – 31st August 2013).
During their time in MaxiStrikers we aim for children to achieve the following:
Parental involvement is unlikely to be required for children once they have settled into their group, particularly if they have been with SupaStrikers in younger age groups. However, we are happy for parents of new children to be a little more 'hands on' if required during early stages of membership.
NB. Please note that reception year children who are particularly lacking in confidence may be able to start in MegaStrikers until they are ready to progress to MaxiStrikers.
If you advise the Coach at the end of your first session that you do not wish to continue, he/she will inform us and you will receive a full refund within 28 days (provided you have not received your child's football kit). If you change your mind after you have received the football kit and left the session, you can notify us by letter or email before your next session is due to start and we will not take your first monthly Direct Debit payment. We would advise that you cancel the Direct Debit as we cannot actually do this on your behalf. We would not refund the Lifetime Membership Fee once you have taken the kit, but no further payments will be due to SupaStrikers even if your child joined in their first session.
